Yes, I'm White, a veteran, hold a graduate degree, and used to vote Democrazy, but then I got well. Read your history and go back 1500 years and study the world history of slavery and subjugation across continents and cultures and then get down on your knees and be thankful for the imperfect progress the United States has made and continues to make. My family background is Eastern European and Canadien and I am not about to pay for what happened 400 years ago. A working "majority" of <1% must be tempered with the control of the traitors on the so-called new left. I live in the Midwest and do not want California and New York running the entire country.

If you follow the money in the political system since the failed "War On Poverty" in the ADC-era you can find and figure out how the black politicians, at BOTH State and national levels, allied w/ALL the moneyed White interests, have done the most to foment racial disharmony over the last 50 years. Sachs writes of rightwing rioters turning on their own, but what about the Leftwing BLM rioters destroying their own, mostly Democrat neighborhoods, shooting each other in the Gettos? Socialism indoctrinates one Mantra: “Avoid Stress at all Costs”, but that leads to stagnation. Socialism is also conducive to CRONYISM AND CORRUPTION, but don’t worry, it’s said Europeans have developed a tolerance for corruption and no doubt that will be achievable in America once the economy is controlled by the socialists and the Left-leaning academia, and investigative journalism is restricted, as it is in Europe. Socialism in Europe has encouraged laziness, with many industries reliant on cheaper foreign labor from Rumania etc to function while unemployment remains high (healthcare, building industry, hospitality). Even the Chinese will soon have better housing on average than Europeans, having already left Europe far behind in IT. Financially illiterate (very low stock ownership, it’s not encouraged), desperately needed wealth-CREATION has falling way behind the rest of the world, with savings restricted by high social transfers (with an aging population and pensions as high as 93% of an average income - one way to secure votes - funds taken from the young and parked in useless savings accounts by the elderly, or wasted by politicians and their cronies). Entrenched socialist policies in Europe, introduced in the 70s and 80s, very difficult to remove once established, have resulted in young people in Europe today lacking any ambition. Professor Sachs makes it sound like “fighting Socialism” is a crime. These groups were the targets of mob violence stoked by Americans from President Andrew Jackson and the frontiersman Kit Carson in the nineteenth century to Alabama Governor George Wallace in the twentieth. In the past, such mob violence has been aimed at more traditional targets of white hate: African-Americans trying to vote or desegregate buses, housing, lunch counters, and schools Native Americans trying to protect their hunting lands and natural resources Mexican farmworkers demanding occupational safety the Chinese immigrant laborers who previously built the railways and worked the mines. This is sedition, and in stoking it, Trump has committed a capital offense. The aim was to intimidate Congress into stopping the peaceful transition of power. Of course, the circumstance of this rioting is crucial. What was unusual this time is that the white mob turned on the white politicians, rather than the people of color who are usually the victims. The United States has a long history of mob violence stoked by white politicians in the service of rich white Americans. The implication is that the disruption incited by President Donald Trump is something new.
